The project was a regeneration of rundown garage areas across 4 locations to provide quality, secure and watertight garages available for rent to residents. The works involved the following:
During the project, additional work was identified - requiring the removal of overgrown foliage, loose parapet walls, and rebuilding of parapet walls. Prestige took possession of the site, securing the garage areas with temporary boundary fencing and erecting scaffold working platforms with perimeter edge protection.
Prestige managed the day-to-day liaison with residents and completed both the original scope of work and additional works in the initial 10-week programme.
We delivered this work in a covid-secure environment during the pandemic. Prestige managed material supply issues to maintain the programme, focusing on minimising the impact on residents and the community.
The project was well received by the residents, and they valued the regeneration of the area. On completion of the 12 months defects period, the site was still free of fly-tipping and antisocial behaviour, and Prestige feels proud of our part in improving the communities we work in.
